We have been aware of the limited local opportunities for MFM trainees to present their work to the subspecialist community in Australia and New Zealand. So, we have decided to hold a symposium to allow current trainees and recently certified subspecialists (within 2 years of certification) to present their research projects in 15 minute oral presentations. This research can be at various stages – from protocol development to interim results to recently published papers.
The MFM research day will be a satellite meeting of the Mercy Global Obstetric Update, which will host some of the biggest names in MFM from around the world.
The event will be held in The Library meeting room at the lovely Park Hyatt Melbourne, with lunch provided on arrival from 12pm. In keeping with the original Greek origin of the work symposium - “drinking party or convivial discussion” - we will have drinks in the Radii bar afterwards, so you relax and network with your fellow trainees and consultants.
We have kept registration costs to a minimum to encourage trainees to attend.
