Biography

Tanya Tripathi is a postdoctoral researcher in the Hui Perinatal Research Group, working on the ESE-CMV study. This study aims to collaborate with consumers and health service partners to guide future recommendations for antenatal and newborn care for those impacted by congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) infection.
Tanya’s research interests include the developmental monitoring of infants who test positive for cCMV, using sensitive tools to support early identification of cerebral palsy and developmental delay. She is committed to improving pathways for early intervention, ensuring timely access to appropriate care and referrals.
She has a strong interest in knowledge translation, working to bridge the gap between research findings and their practical implementation to drive lasting improvements in paediatric care. Tanya takes a holistic approach to research, focusing on questions that are meaningful to families, clinicians, and policymakers.
In addition to her research role, Tanya is a physiotherapist providing community-based care to infants, children, and young people with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
