Ali has special interests in complex twin pregnancies, preterm birth prevention and fetal neurology.
Alison is a maternal fetal medicine (MFM) sub specialist at the Mercy Hospital for Women (MHW). She obtained her medical degree from Monash University in 1997, her FRANZCOG in 2007 and completed her RANZCOG subspecialty certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine in 2012.
Alison holds MFM consultant positions at the Mercy Hospital for Women and the Royal Women’s Hospital. She has a particular interest in managing complex twin pregnancies and is a surgical member of the Victorian Fetal Therapy Service that offers advanced fetoscopic procedures. Her other interests lie in preterm birth prevention and in complex fetal neurology.
In addition to her substantial clinical responsibilities, Alison’s passion is medical education. She coordinates the Mercy Hospital’s weekly Grand Round program, the joint MHW/Austin Health quarterly fetal MRI meetings, and is a key organizer of Mercy Perinatal's Medical Disorders in Pregnancy and Global Obstetric Update conferences.
Alison is also active in RANZCOG activities, as the current chair of the Victorian Regional Committee. She is a newly elected member of the current RANZCOG College Council and a member of the Maternal Fetal Medicine subcommittee.
