We are thrilled to bring you three world-class experts in fetal and paediatric cardiology in this Twilight seminar from the heart. Our speakers will take you on the amazing journey of cardiac development from the first trimester to childhood and beyond.

  • Dr Simon Meagher (COGU) from the Mercy Hospital for Women and Monash Ultrasound for Women will show us how the prenatal imaging field is pushing the boundaries of anomaly detection in his talk on  ‘First Trimester Diagnosis of Cardiac Abnormalities’. The more we look, the more we see!
  • Dr Darren Hutchison is a fetal and paediatric cardiologist and leads the Fetal Cardiology Unit at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne. He will give the latest insights from the 'Fetal Atrial Flutter and Supraventricular Tachycardia (FAST) Therapy Trial  and fetal interventions for outflow tract abnormalities.'
  • Prof Yves D'Udekem, from the Royal Children's Hospital, is an international leader in the field of paediatric cardiac surgery. His current research focus is the long-term outcomes of children born with a single ventricle who have undergone a Fontan operation. He is now leading the world's largest and most in-depth research of its kind in this patient population. He will share with us what he tells parents when they ask, 'What will life be like for my baby with a single ventricle?'
