Welcome to the Magical World of Reproduction! ARU 2025 will cast a spell over you, with 2 days full of research updates from esteemed Professor's and wizards in our field. After a sell out conference in 2024 we are excited to announce that ARU is returning for 2025 and will be casting a spell over Melbourne on the 18th and 19th of August. 

We already have an amazing group of Professors and magicians who will be presenting throughout the 2 days. Including Prof. Janna Morrison, A/Prof Geoff De Iuliis, A/Prof Kate Stern and more!

Are you an ECR with an abstract that will cast a spell over our delegates? 

We invite you to submit an abstract for the Australian Reproduction Update (ARU) 2025. 

This conference has a focus on all aspects of reproduction, from preconception through to pregnancy and neonatology, as well as reproductive organ dysfunction and cancers. We therefore welcome abstract submissions from any area of Reproduction. Abstracts will be reviewed by a scientific committee for scientific rigor and the top abstracts will be chosen to present ina special emerging talent oral communication session at the meeting. To showcase some of the newer and emerging talent from around Australia, we are limiting these sessions to Honours, Masters, PhD students and early postdoctoral researchers. By submitting an abstract, you are acknowledging that you fit within the specified criteria.

Conference Venue

In 2025, the Australian Reproduction Update will again be held over two days at the Woodward Conference Centre, The University of Melbourne. 

The Woodward Conference Centre, is located on the top floor of the Melbourne Law School in Carlton, on the outskirts of the Melbourne CBD. It has sweeping views of campus and over North, West, and Southern Melbourne.

Getting there: (Broomstick parking not permitted) 

By Public Transport 🚊

  • From Flinders Street station, take the number 19 tram (toward Coburg) or 59 tram (toward Airport West) up Elizabeth Street, Melbourne. Get off at stop 9, Haymarket/Elizabeth Street. You will need to walk about 250m down Pelham St to reach your destination.
  • From Spencer Street Station, take any tram up Bourke Street, heading towards Parliament House. Get off at Elizabeth Street and follow the directions above.

By Car 🚗

  • If you are driving, Melbourne University’s car park can be entered from 244 Bouverie St or entrance at 206 Berkeley St (just off Grattan Street). This car park is occasionally closed to the public from 9:30am, so ensure you get in early. Parking rates will be confirmed closer to the date. Exiting the car park from the lifts, you will need to walk across the University Square Park to the conference centre.
  • There are a number of metered car parks on Royal Parade and Grattan Street.
  • Secure Parking is available on Royal Parade.

Cyclists 🚲

  • Local bicycle facilities include bike lanes that run along Rathdowne, Pelham and Queensbury streets. Bicycle parking can be found scattered along these streets, and there is limited bicycle parking directly out in front of the building.
