Topics and themes
We are still crafting our program for GOU 2024. You can trust us to deliver a program 100% focused on educating clinicians at the coalface.
We can already confirm some new topics we haven’t done before. We will have a ‘gynaecology for the obstetrician’ session, covering management of fibroids, why we might need to remove Fallopian tubes at caesar whenever we offer tubal ligation (a hot new topic of debate) and what to do with ovarian cysts and masses during pregnancy (to remove, or not remove?). Plus we will cover repair of third (and fourth) degree tears.
Journal Club on the run will return. We will get updates on the care of the very sick pregnancy patient, the latest on vaginal birth after caesarean section and the latest updates on all you need to know in fetal growth restriction, preterm birth and preeclampsia.
For science corner, the world leading guru (David MacIntyre) will present The microbiome: how mum’s bugs affects bubs.
There will be much, much more - check back in soon!
