Prof Jacqui Boyle will open the seminar with 'Preconception care: Getting Pregnancy Off to the Best Start.'
Jacqui is an academic OBGYN with a clinical appointment at Monash Health. She is the Head of the Health Systems and Equity Directorate at Eastern Health Clinical School. Jacqui's research is in women's public health and health services research to improve women's health across the lifecourse, with equity in health literacy, health access and health outcomes a priority.
The we will have over to Prof Piero Perucca for: 'Epilepsy in Pregnancy: Balancing Seizure Control, Medication and Fetal Risk.'
Piero is Professor of Adult Epilepsy and Co-Director of the Epilepsy Research Centre at the Department of Medicine (Austin Health), The University of Melbourne, and Director of the Bladin-Berkovic Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Austin Health. He is an academic neurologist, with clinical and research interest in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy.
And finally, senior cardiologist with a special interest in caring for women with heart conditions, we are thrilled to have Dr Jennifer Johns. Jennifer will cover 'Matters of the heart: Managing Cardiac Disease in Pregnancy.'
